Where can I find out how many SoftDollars I have earned ? When you are logged in, the counter on the top right will display the amount of SoftDollars you have earned. If you click on the counter, you access your SoftDollars history.

How much SoftDollars do I need before I can use them to get a discount? You need a minimum of 6000 softdollars to start redeeming them at the SoftCity Marketplace

When I buy software, how much money will I get in exchange for my SoftDollars? When SoftDollars are used to buy software, 1000 softdollars will amount to a 1 US $ discount. For other currencies, conversion is based on the current exchange rate. SoftDollars give a maximum discount of a maximum of 50 % of the list price of the software.

Can I use only part of my SoftDollars when I purchase software? Yes. You can use whatever amount of SoftDollars you need to get a discount, and keep the rest. You can also decide to use only a fraction of the amount of SoftDollars you could use, and keep the rest.

Can I get real cash in exchange for my SoftDollars ? Nope. Sorry, you can't do that.

Can I use SoftDollars anywhere else on the Web ? No. For now, you can only use your SoftDollars on SoftCity.com. You'll also soon be able to use them on avanquest.com.

Is there an expiry date on SoftDollars? No. We hate time limits! You get SoftDollars, you keep them. However, we can't promise the value of SoftDollars won't fluctuate. So our advice is: use your SoftDollars as soon as you are ready to order software on the SoftCity Marketplace. If the software you need is not listed in our catalog, please let us know, and we'll contact the developer to try to add that software to our catalog.
