Using your product Fit-It 10 I keep coming up with problems in my temp files that your product will not remove. it tells me that I am running at 87% and I have a problem in temp. files. I have been building a website and testing the local build locally. All has been well. I just started uploading to a temp site - first manually and then via WebEasy Professional 8. The uploads displayed correctly for a day and then SUDDENLY my uploads are scrambled, but the local code is still right on. On the test site, text and pix are here, there and everywhere. I did the "clean" upload and also tried manual uploads. Same results. Yet, the local build displays and operates correctly on my laptop. What has happened? How can I upload correctly?? Thanks for any tips!!!!

Under Windows 7 if I start Size Manager (8) there is an icon on the taskbar. If you hover over it you see a tooltip that says "Size Manager -> Computer" but nothing else happens and the Size Manager window never appears.

Q & A : Fix-It Utilities 8 Optimizer Crashes my computer when I try to run it. Help!!

First, I have a 4 year old computer (a Dell) with a 2.4GHz dual core processor, 4Gb of ram, 250Mb Video memory, and a 250Gb hard disk running Windows Vista 32 bit. I have been using Fix-It Utilities 8 for about a year now. I use it for many different tasks, and now that my computer is getting older, I tried to optimize it for the first time. It doesn't matter which optimization method I choose, it always crashes. Vista gives me an error message that says "Fix-It Utilities 8 Professional has stopped working". It never tells me what the problem was, it just shuts down saying that if it finds a solution, it'll tell me later.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and I've tried running it in Safe Mode. Nothing seems to work. Anyone have any ideas?

I have purchased this software this year January in a software retailer shop in Singapore. So far, I have installed it and found no problem. Recently, in June, I have upgraded my computer hardware and OS to WIN 7. I installed again and find it problematic. After I resolved program crash using the Webeasy.ZIP, it started to ask me to input the product codes, saying that my licence "has expired or cannot be retrieved or activated" and instruct me to enter valid serial number. Upon click YES, a dialogue comes out with "Cannot retrieve product serial number. Administrator Rights may be required to continue..."

I do not know what is the reason. I have made LEGAL purchase with product code, but how come the status has changed.

Please advice and help. Thank you!

I used the red BOOT CD on DRIVEERASE PRO to completely erase my hard drive. I want to delete all items related to my writings, tax info, web sites visited, etc. Everything!

I am viewing the Disk Viewer now and just don't understand how to be sure everything is gone. It just looks like a lot of letters and numbers and symbols. On the left side of the screen there are many columns like 2A 5E 67 that cross much of thescreen and go down forever ever. Onthe right 1/4 side of the screen are many numbers, strange symbols, letters, etc.

How do I verify the computer has been completely erased?

Do I search for something like taxes? When I search with text, a few numbers appear.

My old PC is now trashed. my new one has Win 7 and will not accept Classic Phonetools9 Phonetools will not fully accept the 24 digit licence/access code. Every time I turn on my PC I have to re-load each of the 6x4 digits. ALso, I was informed by Mr Ian Somerville of Avenquest UK that classic Phonetools9 is not compatable with Win.7 and yet it is advertised as being compatable.. could anyone advise me. It says the serial number has already been used. I had installed PI on Windows 7 64 Bit, but ended up switching back to XP Professional. I then tried to re-install Perfect Image and got this error.

I have been trying to build a website with more than one form mailer. One works, but the other one doesn't. I attempted to build the second two ways:

1. Modifying the contact details form that comes with the software.

2. Building my own form using the Form Container, and form fields available in the software.

So far, I have not been successful in getting the second one to work properly.

Is there something I need to do to distinguish the different forms, e.g., custome scripts?

Has anyone else encountered this challenge?

Hello.

Okay now that I found out how to get rid of all of the IE script errors that SS10 pro causes I have one other question (I hope Avanquest will fix the IE script errors, rather than just advising one to disable the data vault link scanner plugins).

How can I keep SS10 pro from deleting the link for the Snipping tool in Windows 7? I have SS10 pro installed on 3 machines and all of the Snipping tool links get deleted after running the maintenance wizard. I will say, at least SS10 pro does not kill the Snipping tool app, only the link. Every time I run the SS10 pro maintenance wizard I just have to re point the link to the Snipping tool location under the %windir%\system32\SnippingTool.exe.

I hope we can get this fixed.

Wordpress is one of the best tools to create your won Blog. Its powerful, with a lot of plugins, it's open and it's free. The big problem with this system is that you need to have it installed in a server to be able to work. So, if you want to try the software and you don't own a server (or you don't want to pay for one), there are several methods to transform your personal computer in a server to be able to install Wordpress, or any other web application locally.

You may or may know, but install an Apache web serves can be difficult, and more if you want to use databases like MySQL or programming language like PHP or Perl. You have to remember that Wordpress needs a web server, a database engine and a prgramming language engine, so you will need the whole bunch to be able to work with Wordpress.

XAMPP

XAMPP is an multiplataform Apache distribution that contains MySQL, PHP and Perl. XAMPP is really very easy to install and to use. Normally you just need to download, unpack and run.

Download XAMPP (the lite version will work).
Copy the file into the root (C:\)
Extract
The program will run, but if it doesn start XAMPP clicking on "setup_xampp.bat".
Run XAMPP clicking on "xampp-control.exe", from there you can run Apache and MySql
To see if it works go to http://localhost/xampp/splash.php, this should be working.
To be able to run Worpress you have to create a database. For this look in the Splash for the tool: MySQLAdmin
Create a new Database with the Name: wordpress and select "utf8 unicode ci"
Download Wordpress and open: wp-config-sample.php, here you need to add this details to the Wordpress file:
- define('DB_NAME', 'wordpress'); // The name of the database
- define('DB_USER', 'root'); // Your MySQL username
- define('DB_PASSWORD', ''); // this time without password.
Save the files as wp-config.php
Copy the Wordpress folder to My Computer > Main drive > Xampplite > htdocs
Now you can go to http://localhost/wordpress/wp-admin/install.php and run Wordpress from there.
To see your new page go to http://localhost/wordpress.

LAMP

LAMP is another bundle of sofwtare, this time for Linux, that works really well. It contains the same packages and is easy to install directly from the Terminal

Type: sudo tasksel and inside the program choose LAMP to install.- The program will ask you for password, this is password for the MySQ
To check this is working go to http://localhost/
Install and unpack Wordpress to your default server directory: /var/www
Now you have to create a new database (wordperss) with a user and a password, for this you will need phpMyAdmin (sudo apt-get install phpmyadmin).
Configure your wordepss wp-config-sample.php, with this information and save it as wp-config.php
With any browser go to http://localhost/wordpress/wp-admin/install.php and run your Wordpress from there.
To see your new page you can go to http://localhost/wordpress.

Apparently, the Bing API is unique in that it has the power to return queries made as they are typed out. Though the engine is just a test of what is possible with API like this, it leaves me wondering if this is the next major step toward predictive search.
